Many of our customers are choosing multiple use designs. These designs focus on horses and horse living while adding space for hobbies and play.
Each Barn Factory Horse Barn Kit is first designed to serve the horses and the horse person. Barn Factory Horse Barn Kits are wide open and spacious. Our post and beam barn designs leave plenty of room for bigger stalls and wider alleyways.
“My wife and I are very pleased with the quality of your design and materials. My father-in-law referred us to you and now my parents are interested in rebuilding or replacing their metal building with one of yours.”- Jim, Eagle Creek OR
For multiple uses you may choose to add tee or ell shaped wings, side sheds and end sheds to the central horse barn.
If you’re looking for a simple run-in or field shelter, make sure to check out our Roundbale Feeder building.
With a full loft, you have ample room for a barn home, hobby workshop, garage or RV storage.
The Barn Factory has designed the stall kits to be easily removed in case you change your mind. To go with your wood stall fronts we have designed attractive new steel stall fronts with any color powder coating and V-shaped front hangout openings.
Your tall trailer may be parked alongside your barn with the addition of an attractive 16’ to 24’ wide, 24’ to 36’ deep “horse trailer gable.” This gable eliminates height problems commonly associated with tall trailers. This same gable style when added to the other side might be used as living space or make a great covered patio. The overall effect is much like our “Triple Crown” style.
“I LOVE MY BARN!!! They really took good care of me, helped me to design the barn for what I needed…I love the half wall I put in front, it adds so much to the style and keeps the dirt and winds down in the breezeway. I am so glad I got the upgraded stall doors, the cute tack room door and the cupola; it really made a great looking barn. I would build another. I tell everyone I talk to how happy I am with it. Thanks! I would be happy to add what a good price I feel the barn package was as well, as I believe that completely! I had priced out barns several different ways, and got more for my money.” – Barb, Port Townsend WA
“The crew finished our barn yesterday. We are extremely happy with the barn … All of the neighbors are asking where we got the barn. Again thank you for the excellent service provided by you and your staff.” -Terry, Moses Lake WA
The side sheds are usually 8’, 10’ and 12’ width. The side sheds can be partially or completely enclosed at no extra cost by moving the central barn wall siding out to the edge of the side shed. The “tee” wings and “ell” wings may be any width, length, and height.
Although most Barn Factory barn kits have lofts, many people opt for the open ceiling look of the “Pioneer” style.
Barn Factory’s Horse Barn Kit design is very flexible and lets you choose the openness of the floor plan. You can eliminate every other 12’ post and still carry a loft. The maximum span between posts is 32’.
Our use of Douglas fir laminated timbers combined with the 4’x12’ timber beams and 2’x6’ T&G planking option makes a great lodge ceiling effect.
The alley floor to bottom of planking distance is 11’. The center of the loft to roof peak distance is 12’ or more on most of our barns.
We believe you will not find a stronger, more adaptable barn. We have every barn style and no matter whose stalls and accessories you choose, ours will be the better barn, and at a better price, too.
“When we went looking for a barn package to build, we almost settled on a local company building steel barns. But before we committed I did some web searching and was delighted to discover Barn Factory. We were all immediately in awe of the pictures we saw of the designs. After making the initial call to speak with the staff, we were more impressed. And after a visit to the factory, we were sold. We have one of the most beautiful and well built horse stables in middle Tennessee. - Tom, Springfield TN
